Bird without a nest

I'm a bird without a nest
A cage is my home
I know little about freedom.

I am a bird,free
But not entirely free
My heart is my freedom
And not my wings.
Freedom is the song I sing
And the joy it brings
If I can dream
And flap my wings
Then what is freedom to me?
I am a bird without a nest
I can sing
I can swing
Tell me,
What is freedom?
